Mission Loft

San Francisco, CA
  • Built in 1907 as a timber factory, the iconic Allied Box Factory later evolved into creative live-work lofts. Our client wanted to recapture the building’s original industrial spirit, so we embraced an honest material palette and refined industrial detailing that honor the site’s history.

We specified modern industrial materials — exposed concrete floors and countertops, reclaimed wood beams, blackened steel structure, brick accents, and salvaged vintage glass. The loft’s generous, high ceilings amplify a sense of volume and allow daylight into the space through large windows and strategically placed skylights.

Throughout the remodel we prioritized both durable and timeless finishes and thoughtful detailing to stand the test of time. The result is an urban loft that reads as both historically grounded and comfortably contemporary.
